BUDS2 was rolled out to dealers 2016/2017 and is required for some late MY17 and mandatory on all MY18 BRP products, see the chart below for transition dates.
Where as the original BUDS was developed in house with the assistance of Kongsberg Inc BRP has chosen to partner with KPIT Technologies and they have adapted their standard diagnostics platform for all features & functions required for BUDS2.
We will be supplying both BUDS and BUDS2 as required for our clients , earlier models pre MY16 and especially older 2 stroke Carb/RFI/DI are not supported on the BUDS2 platform so we will supporting both systems for the foreseeable future
